SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAMELLIA SOCIETY PROGRAMS FOR 2008
The Southern California Camellia Society meets each month October-April, excluding December. Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month. (3rd Thursday in November.)
THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO ALL MEETINGS
Location: Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, South of I-210 at 301 N. Baldwin Ave, Arcadia. Directions Time: 7:15 PM. Culture Session will be followed by the featured Program. Refreshments and a Camellia Plant Raffle conclude each meeting.
FEBRUARY 28
Tom Nuccio from the internationally acclaimed Nuccio’s Nursery in Altadena, CA. will be the featured speaker. Tom will share his perspective on what’s new and exciting in Camellias.
MARCH 27
Workshop on pruning camellias by experts from our society. Demonstrations of camellia pruning for both landscape and show. Hands-on pruning experience will be highlighted. PLEASE BRING A CAMELLIA TO THE MEETING TO PRUNE AND RECEIVE GUIDANCE IN SHAPING YOUR PLANT.

Join us for our season finale: an "Ice Cream Social". Mel Belcher will treat us to a slideshow overview of the 2007-2008 season’s Camellia shows featuring both blooms and participants.
